Six steps. No surprises.
A good garden takes a few years to settle in, and the work that goes into it should feel calm and clear from the very first phone call. Here’s exactly how a project moves through the studio.
01 · The walk-through
~1 hourAn hour in your yard with a notebook. We talk about how you live outside, what you’ve tried, what’s working and what isn’t. No charge, no commitment.
02 · A written estimate
5–7 daysWithin a week you get a short, plain-English estimate with a scope, a price range and a realistic start window.
03 · The plan
3–5 weeksIf we’re working together on design, I’ll come back twice — once to measure and sketch, once to walk you through the finished plan and plant palette.
04 · The build
2–4 weeksI run a small crew of two or three. We protect what stays, build what’s new, and clean up at the end of every day. Most builds are two to four weeks on site.
05 · The first year
year 1I check in at 30, 90 and 180 days. Plants get adjusted, stones get re-set, and you get a written care note for the season ahead.
06 · Year three
year 3This is when a good garden starts to look inevitable. We come back, take a long look, and prune or divide where it makes sense.
